Book Review Playing It My Way:

Playing It My Way is the story of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar who is known as the “God of Cricket” and a really wonderful cricketer. The book contains his story and all ups and downs he faced to become what he is.

Everybody knows that he is a great cricketer but what makes him a great cricketer? is worth knowing. How he keeps on practising all the day in hot summer noon, How he practised with wet pockets because he just had a single uniform.
You probably know all the facts about Sachin’s cricket if you are a fan of him, but in this book he shares his all views and emotions about which he never talked publicly before.

He starts his book from his childhood in which he describes all the pranks he and his friends had with their neighbours. The relation of Sachin and Injuries is from his childhood, he injured several times in his childhood.
The best part of his childhood I really liked is his family and especially his elder brother who sacrificed his own cricket career to make him the greatest cricketer ever. He also shared his relation between him and his coach “Achrekar Sir”.

He also clarified some of his sensitive issues like his Captaincy or about his bad form and the co-operation of his senior cricketers to evolve him as a good one.
A little low point of the book that it looks like a summary of matches played by Sachin in his whole career. Almost every match is considered and Tabulated in the book which makes the book a little bit boring type.

But what makes the book interesting is the dressing room gossips and his strong views on Chapel incident and views about his Ideals.

Favourite Quotes:

“If you remain humble, people will give you love and respect even after you have finished with the game.”
“The key to handling pressure situations like these is to keep yourself steady, follow your instincts and think clearly.”

Why should Read:

If you are also a Sachin fan like me then you definitely read this book. It’s like you are living your hero’s life and experiencing every moment of his life. Sharing his Pain, sharing his joy and become his friend. While reading this book I simply had that feeling and inspired by his Hard-work and dedication towards his dream.

And the best part of Sachin I really liked about is his simplicity and humbleness. After reading this book you found that it comes from his parents and his good family environment. Thatswhy he is a good Human Being and also a great Cricketer.
